2008 Teen Miss Crowley contestants

CROWLEY – Contestants who will be competing in the 2008 Teen Miss Crowley are Kayla Louise Kibodeaux, Kathleen Paige Cormier, Gabrielle Marie Istre and Ashley Nicole Broussard.

Ashley Nicole Broussard is the fifteen year old daughter of Pat and Ashley Broussard. She is 5’2” tall and has light brown hair and hazel eyes. She is presently attending Crowley High School where she is active in student council and flag line. She is an honor roll student and has received the Taylor’s Award.

In Ashley’s spare time she volunteers at the First Methodist Church Vacation Bible School. She is also a teachers aid for Sunday School at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Ashley has also studied dance for two years at the Dolores Nutt School of Dance.

Ashley is being sponsored by First National Bank.

Gabrielle Marie Istre is the daughter of Monty and Natacha Istre. She stands 4’7” tall and has brown hair and brown eyes. She is presently attending Crowley High School and is quite involved in student council and FFA, in which she held the office of treasurer. She is also an honor student and has received many scholastic awards. Her awards include a certificate in world geography, Honor Roll certificate for math and English, and was Student of the Month for the month of April.

Gabrielle was chosen to be a student ambassador to Australia to represent Crowley as well as Louisiana. When she graduates she plans on attending LSU where she plans to major in Zoology.

In Gabrielle’s spare time she enjoys dancing, swimming, shopping and traveling with her parents.

She is being sponsored by Fezzo’s Seafood and Steakhouse.

Kayla Louise Kebodeaux is the daughter of Larry and Connie Kebodeaux. She stands 5’2” tall and has auburn hair and dark brown eyes.

Kayla is presently attending Crowley High School and plans to graduate in 2010. She is an active member of the student council and is the junior graphic designer for the Crowley High Chronicle. She has also been selected for gifted services in the Talented Visual Arts Program. Upon graduation Kayla wants to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in fashion design and illustration.

While in school Kayla earned many awards such as the Bronze Award in English, and she has also received the Bronze Award in Social Studies. Outside of school, Kayla enjoys dancing and has been selected as a member of the International Rice Festival Dance Troupe. She has also been selected as “Camper of the Week” at Clearwater Christian Camp and was awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Dallas Christian College.

Kayla is being sponsored by Kim Hayes, candidate for City Judge.

Kathleen Paige Cormier is the fifteen year old daughter of Conrad and Tricia Perry. She stands 5’5” tall and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Kathleen is attending Crowley High School and plans to graduate in 2011. While in school she has participated in Color Guard, softball and was a staff member for student council.

Kathleen has earned many academic honors such as a certificate for math, and has also received the Hardest Working Student in Math Award and earned a B Certificate in English and social studies. Upon graduation, she plans to attend LSU and major in elementary education.

In Kathleen’s spare time, she enjoys studying dance at the Dolores Nutt School of Dance and playing softball.

She is being sponsored by St. Martin Bank and Trust.
