Abbeville man turns himself into Lafayette police

LAFAYETE - An Abbeville man turned himself in over the weekend to the Lafayette Police Department, and he was booked on a charge of unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.

The Lafayette Police Department began the search for 42-year-old Rusty Hebert of Abbeville after Thursday break-in at his ex-wife’s home in Lafayette.

The Lafayette Police said the woman came home to find a bedroom window was broken into and items were missing.

Hebert was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
