Abbeville Police Department to host Family Fun Day

What could be more fun than dunking the Abbeville Chief of Police into a booth filled with water? How about throwing a pie in the face of Officer Jay Captervillle, the traffic enforcement officer who writes all those speeding tickets.

The chance to do both of these things is at hand.

On Saturday, March 29 the Abbeville Police Department’s Relay for Life team will hold a Family Fun Day to raise money for Relay for Life. The activities will be held at the main station on Charity Street and will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a garage sale starting at the same location at 8 a.m.

In addition to the dunking booth and pie throwing, attendees will be able to purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy and other assorted goodies.

There will be face painting, a fun jump and a sports interactive center, a lollipop game, balloons and photo opportunities with McGruff, the crime dog.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this activity.
