AcA’s Arts in Education Department helps educators connect at teacher night
LAFAYETTE - The Acadiana Center for the Arts invites all educators to Teacher Night at the AcA being held on Thursday, March 17 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the AcA located at 101 W. Vermilion St. in Downtown Lafayette.
This very special spring Teacher Night at the AcA is a free event created to inspire and inform teachers of all grade levels and give them a chance to network and visit with each other.
Be inspired! Meet internationally acclaimed artist Francis X. Pavy, whose work is filled with vibrant colors and abstract southern motifs.
Be curious! During the gallery talk, ask the artist questions about the themes of love, nature, humor and friendship found within the artwork.
Be creative! Learn about a classroom printing activity you can use with students that connects story with image.
Be first! Get teacher packets with details about how your students can participate in the Student Arts Expo, scheduled for May 14th.
Be ready! View examples of different ways to prepare student art for hanging at the Student Arts Expo or in your school.
Be informed! Ask questions about funding your favorite arts projects through Arts Grants for Teachers (for LPSS educators). Examples of successful grants will be available.
Be here! Reap the rewards of our AcA Spring Cleaning by wearing your favorite apron. Be eligible for posters, books, music and more, and win the People’s Choice Apron Award!
