Acadia Parish Farm Bureau crowns new queen
The Acadia Parish Farm Bureau held its annual meeting on Saturday, January 30 at which time the new parish queen was crowned. Kirstie Bieber, 19-year-old daughter of Connie Bieber of Branch and granddaughter of long-time Farm Bureau member Evelyn Bieber and the late Henry Bieber of Branch.
She was escorted for her promenade by her uncle and Farm Bureau Board member, Lamar Bieber.
Kirstie is a radiology student at the Louisiana State University at Eunice and will represent Acadia Parish at their annual Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention and Queen’s Contest in June in New Orleans.
She was crowned by outgoing queen, Christana Goff of Midland and presented roses by Parish President Mike Habetz.
The crowd was entertained by Little Revelers following the evening’s Mardi Gras theme at the Knights of Columbus Home.
After the business of the evening, a delicious meal was served by the Acadia 4-H Junior leaders and Farm Bureau employees. Door prizes were given out by the two queens to complete the evening’s activities.
