Acadiana Open Channel announces March workshops for all skill levels
LAFAYETTE - Each month, Acadiana Open Channel holds a variety of workshops open for people of all skill levels, beginning to professional. Many classes are free to members and at a low-cost to non-members. Registration is required for all evening workshops. Those interested can register by e-mailing email@example.com and will receive an acknowledgment by e-mail. All workshops are first come, first serve and are held at AOC, 704 Lee Ave., downtown Lafayette.
Media Discussions will be held Thursday, March 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is an open meeting for anyone who wants to join. People who attend these meetings will be able to exchange information, network and chat about upcoming technology. Cost is free.
Tab: The Canvas will be held Thursday, March 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tab workshops will teach participants how to perform specific tasks in Final Cut Pro (FCP). Participants will also learn shortcut keys that can come in handy while editing. Each participant is expected to have a working knowledge of FCP. Cost is $35, and first session is free to members.
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) will be held Monday, March 28 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This workshop will give participants a tour around the GIMP interface. Participants will be able to create efficient message board pages for AOC’s Community Calendar. Cost is $35, and first session is free to members.
Arri-Light Kit: Operations and Technique will be held Thursday, March 31 from 6:30-8 p.m. This session teaches participants how to properly and safely set up AOC’s light kits. Proper storage and basic lighting theory are also covered. Cost is $35, and first session is free to members.
