Allen James Kibodeaux

CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Allen James Kibodeaux, 70, who died May 28, at Lafayette Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana Hospital.

Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in North Hanks Cemetery in Crowley.

Allen worked for Chevron for 37 years; of those, 16 were overseas. After retirement he enjoyed raising Beef Master cattle, baling hay, cutting grass and especially spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria Faulk Kibodeaux of Crowley; one daughter, Vickie Kibodeaux Romero and husband Ray of Crowley; one son, Dereck James Kibodeaux of Baton Rouge; one sister, Merline Wright of Hackberry; two brothers, Don Kibodeaux and wife Vickie of Crowley and Mike Kibodeaux of Crowley; and three grandchildren, Lauren, Nicole and Mason Romero.

Mr. Kibodeaux is preceded in death by his parents, Stanville and Cecile Daigle Kibodeaux.
