Allison Joseph Henry
Lyons Point - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Allison Joseph Henry, 82, who died May 17, 2010 at the Crowley American Legion Hospital.
Fr. James Brady will be the officiating for the service with Fr. Matthew Higginbotham concelebrating. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be led by Sr. Justina Baker at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie Trahan Henry of Lyons Point; two brothers, Lawson and Daniel Henry both of Crowley; four sisters, Ledia Woods of Gueydan, Hilda Rose Leleu, Joyce Mae Henry, and Rhena Mae Savoy of Lafayette; twenty-one nieces and nephews; forty-three great-nieces and great-nephews; and forty-four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Mr. Henry is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Estelle Leleu Henry; two brothers, Andrus and Leroy Henry; and one sister, Vernita Henry.
The pallbearers will be Michael Istre, Ricky Istre, Doug Louviere, Duke Trahan, Corey Henry, and Carlton Henry.
