Duson - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Alvin Campbell, 46 who died Friday, September 11, 2009, at his residence. Rev. Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul will conduct the services.
Interment will be in the Abshire Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was a native of Rayne and a resident of Duson.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Gallet Campbell, one daughter, Barbara Dupuis and her husband Troy, sisters Linda Andrus, Lovenia and her husband Johnny Seaux, and Mildred and husband Rodney LaSalle; brothers Mike Campbell, Ray, Sr. and his wife Mona Campbell, Donald and wife Priscilla Campbell, David and wife Linda Campbell, L. J. Campbell, Allen Campbell and wife Kathy, and Alton and wife Lisa Campbell. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Krystalyn Hope Dupuis, Starlyn Dupuis, and Tory James Dupuis. He is also survived by his dog, Taco.
He was preceded in death by his parents the late Maurice Campbell and Inez Dupuis Campbell; one sister Betty Campbell and 4 nephews Terry Andrus, Maurice Campbell, Donald Campbell, Jr., and Edgar Campbell.
He was born Tuesday, February 12, 1963 in Rayne LA, son of the late Maurice Campbell and the late Inez Dupuis.
He worked as a roustabout in the oilfield industry.

Friends will be received 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 12 and on Sunday, September 13 from 8:00 A.M. until time of service at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
