A double ring ceremony uniting Megan Paige Andrepont and Andrew Maurice Richard commenced
in the sanctitude of St. Michaels Catholic Church on Saturday, September 20, 2008. The couple exchanged wedding vows in the midst of family and friends at 7 p.m. with Father David Broussard officiating.

Escorted by her father, Megan entered the sanctuary wearing a designer ball gown of ivory satin with a sweetheart neckline. The exquisite detailing of the gown featured an adornment of Swarovski crystals, pearls and bugle beads starting from the bodice and flowing down onto the skirt. A triple layer of café stain trim completed the elegant creation. Her headpiece was constructed of a waist-length veil of ivory satin attached to a comb and accented with a pencil trim of café satin and pearls. The bride carried a large bouquet of deep crimson red roses, ranunculus and daisies. Entwined within the arrangement was her grandmothers rosary.
Her traditional items included her grandmother’s rosary as something old, her wedding dress as something new, pearl earrings from her grandmother as something borrowed and as something blue she wore her godfather’s baby medal.
Serving the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Amber Breaux. Others attending were Camille Richard, sister of the groom; and Katie Hebert, Brittany Landry, Kendall LaCombe, Erin Esthay and Lauren West, all friends of the bride; and as the minature bride was Valerie Breaux, niece of the bride. The attendants were each beautifully attired in a satin gown of cinnamon from the Peau de Soi collection. The gowns profoundly featured sweetheart necklines with a rouged asymmetrical bodice, dropped waistlines and flared bottoms. They each carried a bouquet matching the brides.
Choosing to stand as best man was Wade LaCombe, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Joe Zaunbrecher, Reggie Zaunbrecher, Nick LaHaye, Dustin Broussard, Jacob Dorr and Garrett Andrepont, all friends of the groom; and as the minature groom was Austin Hebert, godchild of the groom.
Upon entering the church guests were ushered to their seats by Jonathon Breaux, brother-in-law of bride; Ryan Andrepont, cousin of the bride; Phillip Reed, cousin of the groom; and Kyle Hebert, friend of the groom.
Presenting the couple with flowers was Avery Kelly, godchild of the groom; and Tyler Breaux, godchild of the bride served as ring bearer.
Following the wedding ceremony the couple was honored with a reception at the Rice Festival Building.
Concluding a wedding trip to Mexico the newly weds will reside in Iota.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by Bradley and Jackie Reed, uncle and aunt of the groom; was held on Thursday, September 18, in Iota. Guests were treated to a delicious meal of crawfish etouffee, rice, Mexican corn, potato salad, tossed green salad, homemade bread and assorted drinks.
