Angelle to discuss moratorium impact on Acadiana
NEW IBERIA - The Acadiana Regional Alliance (ARA) announced Tuesday its quarterly general meeting will feature an informative discussion on the impact of the Gulf of Mexico moratorium and the oil spill on Acadiana. Lt. Governor Scott Angelle is the featured speaker.
ARA Chair Janet Faulk, of the New Iberia Chamber of Commerce, commented, “This moratorium is detrimental to the families and economy of Acadiana. We have to work together very aggressively to make sure the president understands this and reverses the moratorium. this meeting will help us make that point.”
The meeting will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette (111 Heymann Blvd.) and includes breakfast. The public is invited to attend. The costs is $20. Seating is limited. Please RSVP to Tina Begnaud at email@example.com.
The ARA is a community of parishes united to promote the interests of the Acadiana region on various topics which affect the business environment. ARA identifies issues and develops initiatives to address the needs of the region while working closely with local, state, and federal officials in advocating for these initiatives.
