Angelle Hollingsworth is Miss Rayne
Angelle Hollingsworth, 18-year-old daughter of Jimmy and Pam Hollingsworth, was crowned Miss Rayne Saturday evening during the 2008 Miss Rayne Pageant held at the Civic Center.
The new Miss Rayne is a 2008 graduate of Rayne High School and will enter LSU-Eunice this fall majoring in nursing. She was sponsored for the event by Piggly Wiiggly.
Not only did Angelle collect the top honor of the evening, she was also voted the People’s Choice Award from the audience’s voting. She was presented her award by committee member Ellen Guidry.
Crowning her successor was the 2007 honoree, Jennifer Robichaux. Making other presentations to the new Miss Rayne were committee members Josie Henry and William LeBlanc, along with Mayor Jim Petitjean.
Named Ray*la*ne Princess and 1st Maid was Dommie Credeur, 18-year-old daughter of Roy and Linda Credeur.
Princess to the International Rice Festival and named 2nd Maid was LaQuinta Wycoff, 21-year-old daughter of Everett and Ida Wycoff
Selected as Princess to the Church Point Buggy Festival Elizabeth Coolman, 17-year-old daughter of Rodney and Genevieve Coolman.
Voted by her fellow contestants Miss Congeniality was Tayla Cavin, 18-year-old daughter of Dina Brown and Emery LeJeune. Presenting the Miss Congeniality award was committee member Jennifer James Autin, 2001 Miss Rayne.
