Ann Mosa George
CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Ann Mosa George, 82, who died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Crowley.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michaels Catholic Church, will celebrate the Mass and the committal services at the Woodlawn cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m.
Mrs. George was born January 1, 1931 in Crystal City, TX to the late Antoino and Estella Sienz Morales. She lived all her adult life in Crowley where she and her husband, Tom George, owned and operated the Twin Oaks, Highway Café, and Crowley Cigarette Service. She was a lifelong member of Saint Michaels Catholic Church, a member of The Ladies Altar Society and the perpetual adoration chapel. She was an avid gardener and helped keep up the church grounds. She was known for having the last little farm inside the city limits with her chickens, ducks and guinea. She was devoted to her family as evident by the family gatherings on Sundays where she kept both Mexican and Lebanese traditions alive.
She is survived by two daughters, Mathilda M. Perez of Lake Charles, LA and Pamalia Mosa of Crowley, LA; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Mosa of Crowley, LA; a sister, Louise Jeneck of Stafford, TX; a brother, Reese Packer of Stafford, TX; nine grandchildren, Thomas Mosa, Tracy Delhomme, Jada Mosa, Maranda Mosa, Hailey Mosa, Steven Perez, Hanna Perez, Ashley Perez, Samantha Perez and a great granddaughter, Alayna Mosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Joseph Mosa and her step-son, Dr. Joseph George.
