Annie Doucet Hebert
Branch –– A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013, at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch for Annie Doucet Hebert, 94, who passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 1:45 p.m. at her home in Branch surrounded by her family.
Reverend Paul Broussard, pastor of St. Edmund Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the Mass and conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Church Cemetery.
The family requested visitation to be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at 12:30 p.m until the time of services on Friday. A Rosary was recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include one son, Patrick H. Hebert and wife, Judy (Thibodeaux); two daughters, Margie H. DuBose and Glenda H. Smith and husband, Terry, all of Branch; five grandchildren, Paul Hebert Sr. and wife, Brenda (Bott), and their two sons, Paul Jr. and Jacques of Rayne; Cory Smith and wife, Anna (Segura), and their children, Ethan and Claudia of Youngsville; Douglas DuBose and wife, Yaara (Dolev), and daughter, Leah of Kefar Yedidia, Israel; Kimberly DuBose and her companion, Jason “Bubba” Melancon, and their four legged daughter “Daisy” of Rayne; and Josh Smith of Branch and his daughter, Izabella Smith of Church Point; two step-great- grandchildren, Crystal Eskine and husband, Blake, and children, Alexis, Eric, Leif and Jarod of Church Point and Jessica Alleman and her companion, Adam Burgess of Mire; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie D. Meche and Mrs. Sybil D. Thibodeaux of Branch; and a very special and caring person, Eva Goodwin of Branch.
Mrs. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband, Albus Hebert; parents, Menoah Brooks Doucet and the former Celiemine Bergeron; three sisters, Amy Venable, Eve Robinson, and Azelia Smith and four brothers, Gabe, Oneal, Dupre and Houston “Black” Doucet.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Paul Hebert Sr., Cory and Josh Smith and Doug DuBose and great- grandsons, Paul Jr. and Jacques Hebert and Ethan Smith. Gift bearer was her great- granddaughter, Claudia Smith.
