Aquanetta Minix examines self-portrait: licensed evangelist

By: Angela Becnel - Staff Writer
Aquanetta Minix is married to Bishop Bryan Minix, the mother of four, and owner/operator of Heaven’s Diner, where the pork steak plate is a favorite.

Bryan Minix has been pastor of Holy Temple Church of Deliverance for 6 years, and as a licensed evangelist, Aquanetta is co-pastor.

“My heart is in ministry, although I love working with my family at the diner,” said Aquanetta who holds old fashioned values. “If it is contrary to the Bible, then I don’t want any part of it.”

Aquanetta, referred to as “First Lady,” is the daughter of Elizabeth and Leroy Goodwill of Crowley. She is a 1983 Crowley High School graduate. Her children are Timothy Hayes Jr., 26; Corderyl Hayes, 23; Kiara Hayes, 19; Brian Minix Jr., 15.

As director of “Women With a Vision,” she sponsors the womens’ conference every February.

“I am called to help broken women,” said First Lady, who attends conferences to obtain training. “I try to give them hope in God.”

First Lady Minix thoroughly enjoys spending time with her husband.

“I consider that my main hobby,” she said with a smile.
