Area high schools announce graduation schedules

CROWLEY- Each year, students of Acadia Parish along with students from around the country, mark the end of their high school careers with commencement rites.

This rite of passage moves them into a new chapter with new experiences through the pursuit of college and lifelong careers.

Acadia Parish high schools have announced the dates of their awards and graduation ceremonies.

Crowley High School will hold an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 12 in the commons area at 6 p.m. and a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Iota High School will hold their Senior awards ceremony on Friday, May 14 and commencement rites are scheduled for Tuesday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at the Iota High School football field.

Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish will hold an awards ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 21, followed by commencement ceremonies that evening at 7 p.m. Both will take place at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Church Point.

Midland High School will hold an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 13 at 9 a.m. in the school gymnasium. Graduation will be held May 21 at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium.

Northside Christian School will hold its awards and commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 21 at 7 p.m. in the school’s chapel.
