Arnaud wins spot for company's calendar
Crosstex Energy Services (Eunice plant), a gas processing plant, along with their other multi-state sister plants located in Dallas, Miss, Ala. and Okla. held a calendar contest where employees’ children and grandchildren were eligible to enter.
The children were asked to draw their favorite picture. There were three different age groups participating: 0-4, 5-8, and 9-12. Twelve entries in 0-4 were turned in, 24 entered in 5-8 ages, and the older age group, 13 entered.
Judging of the drawings were done by plant employees. Entries were placed on the plants’ global website, and employees rated them choosing the top 4 in each age bracket.
Austin Arnaud, 5, won first with his drawing and it was placed for the month of August.
Sondra Bielstein, an administrative assistant at the Eunice plant, entered her grandson’s drawing. Arnaud drew a fishing boat with his father and himself fishing. The drawing showed that Austin caught a larger fish than his dad.
Austin said that he likes to fish with his dad at Toledo Bend. He said he catches lots of fish. When asked what kind of fish he catches, his answer was, “I don’t know.”
Arnaud is the son of Michele and Chad Arnaud and grandson of Joe Ed and Sondra Bielstein, David Arnaud and Flo Arnaud, all of Eunice.
Arnaud is a kindergarten student at Highland Elementary.
