St. Martinville — Local authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate kidnapping and shooting suspect Jules David Mallery.

Both the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and the St. Martinville Police Department are following a hot trail on Mallery who is wanted for the kidnapping of two females and shooting and injuring one of them. The shooting victim is in stable condition in a New Orleans hospital.

Mallery, who goes by the alias “Boss,” has been verified by SMSO and SMPD as being seen in the St. Martinville area since the crimes occurred over a week ago.

“Anyone found coming in contact or protecting Mallery will be dealt with accordingly,” said Maj. Sammy Inzerella of the sheriff’s office.

Todd D’Albor, chief administrative officer of the police department, said aiding and abetting the suspect holds a charge of obstruction of justice can be punishable by 2-5 years in prison.

Anyone who has heard or seen from Mallery is asked to call either the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office at 394-3071 or the St. Martinville Police Department at 394-3001. Inzerella said there is a cash reward available for anyone assisting with information leading to Mallery’s arrest.
