Baton Rouge wedding vows said

The University Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge was the picturesque setting on January 24, 2009, for a wedding ceremony uniting Erin Katherine Redman and Joseph Scott Bruner, both of Baton Rouge.

The six o’clock evening ceremony was celebrated by Rev. Patricia I. Snyder.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon F. Redman of Baton Rouge. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Irwin C. Jumonville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace E. Redman, all of Baton Rouge. She is a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and is employed as a kindergarten teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Baton Rouge.

The groom is the son of Thomas W. (Fred) Bruner of Branch and Annette S. Bruner of Breaux Bridge. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Stutes of Rayne, Walter W. and the late Mrs. Bruner of Rayne. He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and is employed as a MWD engineer with Baker Hughes Inteq.

Harpist Latrita Wilbert provided musical arrangements for the ceremony.

Scriptures were recited by Whitney Fielder and Andrew Crawford.

Traditional items selected by the bride for her wedding day included her recently deceased grandmother’s wedding band as something old, a traditional garter as something new, diamond and pearl earrings from her aunt as something borrowed, and initials monogrammed on her garter as something blue.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a simple, but elegant wedding gown featuring a sweetheart necline of delicate lace, A-lined skirt and button-down back.

Attending the bride as matrons of honor were Megan McCaskill Stout and Amber Smith Savant, sorority sisters and college roommates.

Bridal attendants were Julie Cascio Leak and Catherine Smith Myrick, high school friends, and Tiffany Michelle Schultz and Allison Peavy Zuber, college friends.

Serving as flower girl was Caroline Stout, matron of honor’s daughter. She was escorted by the ring bearer, Jacques Clement, son of the groom’s cousin.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Steven Michael Bruner. Groomsmen were Walter Ross Doga and Thaddius James (T.J.) Guillot, childhood friends; Lon Paul Moody, high school friend; and Brian Franklin Redman, brother of the bride.

Ushering guests were Richard Dale Stutes, Jr. and Brad Joseph Cook, cousins of the groom.

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds were honored during a reception held at The Camelot Club in Baton Rouge.

Following their wedding trip to Breckenridge, Colo., the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted on January 23, 2009, by the groom’s father. The six-thirty evening social was held at 333 Bistreaux at Avoyelles in Baton Rouge.
