Benefit to aid fire victims slated on Sunday, April 29

A community benefit to aid the family of the four children who died in a mobile home fire in Rayne Saturday and their older brother, Tyron, will be held on Sunday, April 29, it was announced Tuesday.

Barbecue pork steak and chicken dinners with all the trimmings will be sold Sunday at the Union Hall, 1931 E. Jeff Davis Ave., Rayne, between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The dinners will be sold for $8 each. Barbecue hamburgers will also be available for $3 each.

All proceeds will go to the children’s fund.
