Bertrands proudly announce engagement
CROWLEY - Carolyn and Wes Bertrand of Crowley proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mariana Noelle Bertrand to Bradley Allen Johnson, son of Kim T. Whitman of Ooltewah, Tenn. and Tim L. Johnson of Jacksonville, Ala.
The bride-elect, the granddaughter of Esther and Larry Trahan and Judy and Melvin Bertrand, all of Crowley, is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, and a 2010 cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in human development and family studies. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Noelle was a member of the Auburn University triathlon team and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at Auburn University Graduate School, where she currently serves as the school counseling representative to Chi Sigma Iota honor society.
The groom-elect, the grandson of Nancy and Allen Tillison of Alexandria, Ala. and the late Lois and Johnny Johnson of Jacksonville, Ala., is a 2005 graduate of Dade County High School, and a 2009 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in poultry science. Johnson is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he currently serves as president of Alpha Psi fraternity.
The couple will recite vows on August 6, 2011 in a seven o’clock evening ceremony at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley officiated by the Reverend Father Gary Schexnayder. Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Auburn, Ala.
