IOTA-It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Cormier, 72, announces her passing on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Iota with Pastor David Greene officiating.
A loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Betty will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Steuart Blaine Cormier and his wife, Crystal of Sulphur, Bryan Kirk Cormier and his wife, Kathy of Egan and Bryant “Lamus” Cormier and his wife, Janene of Eunice; her brother, Thomas Dietz of Iota; her two sisters, Lollie Trumps of Iota and Brenda Hunt of Ragley; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Betty will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Miller Dietz; her three daughters, Sandy Sylvester, and infant twins, Shawn Dannette Cormier, and Mary Angela Cormier; her grandson, Nicholas Cormier; her four brothers, Daniel, Donald, Rusty and John Dietz; and one sister, Belle Hebert.
At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will continue on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
