Blue Jays advance, next up is Ouachita Christian

Next up for the St. Edmund baseball team is Ouachita Christian.
The No. 4-seeded Blue Jays will host the No. 5-seeded team from Monroe in Saturday's quarterfinals. A time has not yet been set.
St. Edmund scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh and final innning to rally for a 8-7 win over Catholic High of Pointe Coupee in the regional round of the Class 1-A state baseball playoffs on Monday at North Park.
Wesley Cachere walked to open the inning and tied the game on Kevin McFarlain's sacrifice RBI.
Adam Wimberly was intentionally walked and scored the winning run when Trevor Hargroder rapped a two-out single into shallow left field.
Tyler Rodriguez homered in both the second and fifth innings to help St. Edmund stay in the game.
