Board has four months to adopt school plan

U.S. Dist. Judge Tucker Melancon on Monday gave the St. Landry Parish School Board four months to adopt a government-endorsed school reorganization and staffing plan or come back to him with an alternative.

The plan prepared by the court's Bi-Racial Committee and tweaked by the Department of Justice will remain confidential until publicly reviewed at Thursday's School Board meeting.
