Bond reduction hearing held

A hearing to reduce the bond of Donna Louise Greenwell, 51, 3028 Highway 113, Pitkin was held this week.

Greenwell’s bond is set at $100,000 for allegedly selling two children for a bird and some cash in the parish in February. Her request to lower her bond was denied.

Greenwell was originally charged with aggravated kidnapping but is now facing charges of selling minor children.

Also charged in this case are Brandy Lynn, 27, and Paul James Romero, 46, 5296 Eunice/Basile Highway, Eunice, the couple who allegedly purchased the children. They have been out on bonds of $5,000 each after their bonds of $100,000 were successfully reduced before 13th Judicial District Judge John Larry Vidrine.
