Boys and Girls Club broken into

The Abbeville Boys and Girls Club was broken into and robbed recently.

According to the Abbeville Police Department, someone broke a small window, crawled through it to get into the club. Once inside, the person took pool balls and threw them at the office window, breaking the window.

The person, who is suspected to be a youth, took $40 from the office and did no other damage to the club.

The police think the person is a youth because the broken window that the criminal crawled through was small.

The criminal used tools from the club to help break into the office but did not leave any finger prints, according to the police department.

If anyone has information about the break-in, they can call the police department (893-2511).

Last year the Boys and Girls Club was broken into and many computers were damaged. During the recent break-in, no computers were touched.
