Bridal shower honors the marriage of Granger, Gatte
IOTA - Several hostesses got together to plan a delightful bridal shower honoring Adrienne Granger Gatte, bride of Matthew Ryan Gatte.
On Sunday, May 1, one month prior to their wedding, Gabrielle Granger Doucet, Monica Granger Veronie, Khasi Richard, Ashley Bourque, Abbey Hebert, Kerry Bordelon, Kacie Gatte Dozar, Jessica Gatte, Megan Gatte, Becky Doucet, Tracie Clement, Lynn McCown, Patty Gatte, Angie Petry and Rebecca Miller hosted a shower to be remembered.
At the Springs Ballroom in Iota, Adrienne, dressed in a sleeveless pink, mauve and brown floral shift dress which was belted at the waist, was guest of honor. Her outfit was stylishly accompanied by nude pumps and gold medallion earrings.
The bride is the daughter of Darrel and Mariette Granger of Iota. Her maternal grandparents are the late Jules and Susie Menou and her paternal grandparents are the late Sadie and Vernice Granger.
Her husband, Matthew, is the son of Rudy and Shelly Gatte of Iota. His maternal grandparents are Floyd and Betty LaFleur of Jennings and his paternal grandparents are the late Durel and Ruby Gatte of Iota.
The Springs Ballroom was decorated with table coverings of ivory and gold embossed damask with arrangements of pink, white, ivory and green roses.
The mother of the bride chose a two piece ensemble comprised of a jacket of bright red poppies and yellow accent flowers, paired with black slacks.
The mother of the groom wore a pewter and white dress ensemble of sateen, belted at the waist, over which she wore a white cardigan with pearl buttons. Over 50 guests were in attendance. White cake with strawberry and cream cheese filling was offered to the guests. The cake, covered with pink fondant at the base, was topped with a replica of the bride’s wedding gown as the top layer.
Adrienne and Matthew were married Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 7 p.m. Father Charles McMillian officiated the ceremony at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings.
Upon returning from their honeymoon to Jamaica, they will reside in Scott.
