Bridal shower honors Miss Emily Zaunbrecher
A bridal shower honoring Emily Zaunbrecher of Duson, bride-elect of Jake Chapman of Crowley, was held Saturday, March 14, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Zaunbrecher in Rayne.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Fred and Candee Zaunbrecher of Duson.
The prospective groom is the son of Conrad and Denise Chapman of Lafayette.
Hosting the bridal brunch at the Zaunbrecher home were Ellen Hoffpauir, Claire Stegeman, Susan Reggie, Laura Paddock, Beth Zaunbrecher, Sarah Habetz and Kerensa Zaunbrecher, and host Elizabeth Zaunbrecher.
Guests were treated to an array of brunch menu items and beverages.
For the special event, Miss Zaunbrecher wore a silk scalloped, empire-waisted pewter dress featuring a V-neckline. She was presented a shoulder corsage of ivory roses and blue tweedia accents.
The bride-elect’s mother wore a knee-length red dress featuring an empire waist, V-neckline and 3/4 length sleeves.
The prospective groom’s mother selected a sheath black dress topped with a coral jacket feauring a round neckline and 3/4 length sleeves.
Each of the mothers was presented a shoulder corsage similar to the honoree’s.
Approximately 50 family members and friends were in attendance for the pre-nuptial event from Rayne, Duson, Crowley, Lafayette, Abbeville, Lake Charles and Shreveport.
The engaged couple will be joined as husband and wife on Friday, June 26, 2009, during a 6 p.m. wedding ceremony at the Academy of Sacred Heart Chapel in Grand Coteau, followed by a reception at River Oaks in Lafayette.
