Broussard and Faulk united in Erath ceremony

Tiffany Lynn Broussard and Jonathan Paul Faulk exchanged marriage vows Friday, July 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. The 7:00 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Reverend Floyd J. Calais, a close family friend.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Joey) Broussard of Delcambre. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ludovic (Don) Landry of Delcambre and Mr. and Mrs. James Curtis Broussard, Sr. of Maurice. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Percy (Zoie) Lege of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Donna Romero Hebert, wife of Mr. Louis Hebert of Kaplan. He is the grandson of Mrs. Joyce Mergist of Abbeville, Mrs. Brenda Romero, and the late J. C.. Romero of Erath, and Mrs. Gaynelle Faulk and the late Dallas Faulk of Abbeville.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant strapless gown made of ivory satin. The dress featured a drop waistline, and an a-line skirt with a chapel length train. Silver embroidery in a floral pattern and hand beading accented the bodice, hemline and train of the dress. The bride’s headpiece consisted of a tiara accented with silver, pearls and crystals. Her finger-tip veil was trimmed in fresh water pearls.

Entwined within her nosegay bouquet of ivory and pink wedding roses was a sterling silver and aurora borealis beaded rosary made for the bride by her grandfather, Don Landry. In addition, a wedding band and ivory handkerchief were also carried. These items belonged to her deceased great-grandmothers, Mrs. Lillie Broussard and Mrs. Bernadette Landry. The bride also carried a sixpence and a penny from the year of her birth for luck.

Lauren Broussard, sister of the bride, served as Made of Honor. Bridesmaids included Regan Broussard, sister of the bride, Nicole Lange, sister of the groom, Ashley Broussard, cousin of the bride, Alyssa Hebert and Adrea Menard, friends of the bride.

The bridesmaids were attired in strapless floor length dresses of pool blue satin. The strapless bodices were ruched with diagonal beading under the bust line. They carried nosegays of assorted pink flowers with pool accents.

Junior bridesmaids were Allison Broussard, sister of the bride, Shaely Landry, godchild of the bride and Claire Frederick, godchild of the groom. They were attired in floor length pool satin dresses with spaghetti straps and ruched sides. The girls carried smaller versions of the pink nosegay bouquets.

Brianna Lange, godchild of the bride and Karoline Hollier, godchild of the groom, were the flower girls. They wore ivory satin dresses with sleeveless bodices and full length tulle skirts. Their waistlines were accented with pool wrap around sashes with bow details in back. They carried miniature pink nosegay bouquets.

Matthew Faulk, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsman included Matthew Broussard, brother of the bride, Neal Lange, brother-in-law of the groom, John Derek Hollier, Derek Lee, and Eric Toups, all friends of the groom. Junior groomsmen were Jonathon and Nicholas Broussard, both brothers of the bride. The ring bearer was Bren Landry, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Ryan Frederick, cousin of the groom, Anthony Desormeaux and Kendall Theall, friends of the groom.

The groomsmen were attired in classic, two-button notched black tuxedos by Jean Yves with black satin vests and aqua striped ties. The ushers wore matching tuxedos with black striped ties. Each wore ivory rose boutonnieres. The groom wore a matching tuxedo with black vest and ivory striped tie. His boutonniere consisted of a double ivory wedding rose that matched the bride’s bouquet.

Tina Broussard, mother of the bride, wore an elegant evergreen mock two piece formal. The taffeta dress had an off-the-shoulder corset style bodice and a-line skirt. For her son’s wedding, Mrs. Hebert wore a jade two-piece formal gown of stretch organza. The jacket featured ¾ length sleeves and beading. Both mothers wore double pink tipped ivory rose corsages accented with iridescent beads and coordinating ribbons to match their respective dresses.

Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Libby Maturin, friend of the bride. She was accompanied by guitarist, Tammy Maturin and organist, Angie Meuleman. Jude Gaspard was the trumpeter.

Readings were given by Jackie Broussard, godmother of the bride and Kathy Faulk, godmother of the groom. Gift bearers were Terri Landry, godmother of the bride and Claudette Soirez, aunt of the groom. Greeting guests were Lani Broussard, friend of the bride and Chris Soirez, cousin of the groom.

Immediately following the wedding a reception was held at the VN Hall in Abbeville.

After returning from a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Maurice.

A rehearsal dinner was held on July 10 at Riverfront Restaurant in Abbeville. The event was hosted by Mrs. and Mrs. Louis Hebert.
