Broussard arrested by Sheriff’s Office
CROWLEY – Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that detectives with his department arrested Tommie M. Broussard, 38, of Genivieve Street, Lafayette and charged him with
the intentional use of obscene, profane, lewd, lascivious or indecent language or making a suggestion or proposal of an obscene nature or threaten any illegal or immoral act with the intent to coerce, intimidate or harass.
Melancon stated that his office received a complaint from a victim in late May. Following an investigation into the matter, a warrant was issued for Broussard. He was placed in the Acadia Parish Jail with bond set at $10,000 by District Judge Kristian Earles. Broussard is also being held for Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole for Probation Violation.
The Lafayette Sheriff’s Office and Department of Probation and Parole assisted in the investigation.
