Cabrol and Villien celebrate wedding with Nuptial Mass

St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice was the location of the July 26, 2008, 6 p.m. Nuptial Mass uniting Katie Michelle Cabrol and Ted Carl Villien. Presiding over the ceremony was Father Joe Breaux.

Katie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Cabrol of Abbeville. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Manson Cabrol of Abbeville. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Buddy Cabrol.

Ted is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Villien of Maurice. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Villien and Mrs. Elodie Broussard of Maurice.

The bride wore a strapless gown of creme Italian satin featuring a modified sweetheart neckline. Beaded embroidery in a scroll pattern decorated the fitted bodice. Pleating at the curved basque waist gave fullness to the ball gown skirt. Matching embroidery bordered the hemline and semi-cathedral train. The bride’s fingertip length veil was ivory in color and was finished with satin piping. The bridal bouquet consisted of white Hydrangeas, pink Peonies, and Porcelana roses.

Jennah Claire Cabrol, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Lejeune Hammond, cousin of the bride, and Natalie Marlene Theriot, friend. The bridesmaids wore ice blue satin A-line gowns with a gathered bodice and dropped waist. They carried bouquets of hydrangeas, porcelana roses, and peonies accented by pearl adornments. Her flower girl was Annie Claire Hoyt. Maddox Joseph Hammond and Carson Michael Theriot were ring bearers for the event.

Best Man was Nicholas Wayne Theriot, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Gregory Joseph Vincent, cousin of the groom, and Mitchell Ryan Cabrol, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Boyd Hoyt, brother-in-law, of the groom; Jared Trahan, brother-in-law of the groom; Jared Bellard, brother-in-law of the groom; and Chase Cabrol, cousin of the bride.

The mother of the bride wore a floor length, Jasper gown of silk faced taffeta. The mother of the groom wore a floor length, chocolate brown gown of satin with a chiffon overlay. Her dress was adorned by a pearly broach.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Jude Gaspard and John Moore. Reading were given by Hilary Villien, cousin of the groom, and Cassidy Lejeune, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at A.A. Comeaux Youth Center.
