CROWLEY – The Cajun Chapter of Ducks Unlimited annual Sponsor Banquet was held recently.

Sponsors enjoyed a delicious dinner of filet, beans, salad, and dessert. The Live and Silent auctions exceeded expectations in money raised for wildlife conservation. The

“Gun of the Year” was purchased by Dean Bergeaux, state recruitment chairman and the 2010 State Chairman.

The Cajun Chapter is gearing up for the General Membership Banquet to be held October 15, 2008, at the Knights of Columbus home in South Crowley. Activities will begin at 6pm with a social and followed by a choice Ribeye dinner with all the trimings. The evening will end with the Live and Silent Auction. Raffle tickets will be sold for a 16 foot, fully equipped Gator Tail Boat.

Admission is $55 and includes a 1 year membership. For a member and spouse, the fee is $75. A table for 10 is available which includes a DU Sponsorship. A large crowd is anticipated for this event, which will be held during Rice Festival week.
