Cajun Chapter to host DU General Membership Banquet

CROWLEY – The cause of North American waterfowl conservation was given an added boost when the Cajun Chapter of Ducks Unlimited raised more than $15, 000 at the Sponsor Banquet held recently.

“It was comforting to see such an enthusiastic turnout at this years fund-raiser,” said Cajun Chapter chairman Randy Leger. “It’s also reassuring to know that the lion’s share of every dollar we raise is funneled directly into DU wetland habitat restoration programs throughout North America.”

Leger went on to thank members of the community who donated time and merchandise to guarantee the banquet’s success.

The Cajun Chapter is busy preparing for the General Membership Banquet that will be held at the Rice Festival Building, Wednesday, October 6, 2010.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social, followed by dinner and a live auction.

Tickets are $55 per person.
