Calvin Joseph Mire

CROWLEY — Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Joseph Mire, 60, of Crowley will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Joe Talhelm will officiate. Interment will follow in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from noon until 8 p.m. in Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene, and will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time in the church.

Mr. Mire passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:29 p.m. in a Crowley hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Crowley, Mr. Mire was a graduate of Crowley High School. He was formerly manager of Circle K convenience store, and also managed NAPA Auto Parts. Mr. Mire was an avid Saints fan.

Mr. Mire’s first love was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was faithful member of Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene, and he demonstrated his love of the Lord through his faithful service to his family. He and his late wife, Debra, raised their four grandchildren, and he could always be counted on to place his family’s needs before his own.

Survivors include his daughters, Kelly-Jo Cormier and fiancé, Scott Gaspard, of Abbeville and Stephanie Renee Mire of Crowley; sisters, Eula Gary and husband, Darby, of Crowley and Debbie Monceaux and husband, Glen, of Crowley; brother, Lawrence Mire of Crowley; grandchildren, Brittany Renee Mire, Cameron Joseph Mire, Joshua Caleb Mire and Dakoda Samuel Mire; and many special nieces and nephews.

Proceeding Mr. Mire in death were his wife, Debra McDaniel Mire; and parents, Minus and Mercedes Primeaux Mire.
