Catholic recording artist to perform in Crowley

Catholic Recording Artist, John Michael Talbot will be touring through Louisiana this month with a series of special events, including Crowley. He will offer a special evenings of music, meditation and prayer. No tickets required for any events! Free will offerings will be collected. John Michael Talbot books and CDs will be available for purchase.

Talbot will perform in St. Michael Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21.

His other tour stops include Our Lady Queen of the Angels in Opelousas on Jan. 16 at 7 .m.; St. Pius X in Lafayette at 7 p.m. Jan. 27; St. Mary Magdalen in Abbeville at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28; St. Edmond in Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29; and Sacred Heart of Jesus in New Iberia at 7 p.m. Jan. 31.

John Michael\ Talbot is one of the pioneering artists of Contemporary Christian Music. He is recognized as Catholic music’s most popular artist with over 4 million sales and compositions published in hymnals throughout the world. His newest album, “Concert Songs”, is his 52nd album in his 36 years in Christian Music Ministry.

A respected author and inspiring speaker, Tablot has facilitated retreats for over 26 years.

John Michael leads his very active ministry from the Little Portion Hermitage where he is the founder and Minister General of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity.

His artistic and humanitarian efforts have been recognized with awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Gospel Music Association, Mercy Corps and the Mother Teresa award.
