Cecilia High grad is interning with ESPN
BATON ROUGE – LSU junior Hobie Artigue of Cecilia has been awarded a paid internship with ESPN in Connecticut for this summer.
A 2006 graduate of Cecilia High School where he was an award-winning member of the school’s speech team, Artigue is currently completing his junior year at LSU, majoring in journalism, with a focus on sports broadcasting. He was the recipient of the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters’ scholarship last Spring and worked as an intern at KLFY TV-10 last summer. He has also worked for LSU’s TigerTV and for KLSU Radio since his freshman year in Baton Rouge.
Artigue was one of only seven students selected from thousands of applicants nationwide for an internship at ESPN and is one of only two selected for the broadcasting/production specialty. He is the first LSU student ever to be interviewed for this internship.
His parents are Bryan and Jennifer Artigue.
