RAYNE – Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10 a.m. for Celania Stutes Boudreaux, 96, who died Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.
Associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church Rev. Clint Trahan will be the celebrant for the services
Surviving are two sons, Roderick “R.J.” Boudreaux and wife Mary Gail of Opelousas and Conrad Boudreaux and wife Judy of Rayne; two daughters, Rena Leeper and husband Dick of Crowley and Joyce Laughlin of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Francis Terro of Sulphur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ophie Boudreaux; parents, Edgar Francois Stutes and Marie Breaux Stutes, one sister, Elizabeth Stutes Guidry, three brothers, Whitney Stutes, Willie Stutes, Martin Stutes, one son-in-law, H. Curtis Laughlin, one grandchild, Mark Laughlin.
She was born Friday, July 19, 1912 in Rayne, the daughter of the late Francis Stutes and the late Marie Breaux.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
Friends were received Monday, March 30, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., and visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 8 a.m. until time of services at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
