Charles H. McBride
CROWLEY - Funeral services were held Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Charles H. McBride, 77, who passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at 8:43 a.m. at American Legion Hospital in Crowley. Fr. Gary, Pastor of St. Michaels Catholic Church will officiate the services.
Survivors include his wife, of 53 years, Margie M. McBride of Crowley; three daughters, Donna and husband Scott of Quitman, Ga., Lisa of Austin, Texas, and Jennifer and husband Dennis of Mont Belvieu, Texas; six grandchildren, Jeromy, Stacy, Bubba, David, Ethan and Hannah; five great grandchildren, Abram, Gideon, Vivian, Zachary and Traci.
Mr. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Effie McBride; one brother, Robert McBride.
Mr. Charles served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. McBride retired as Captain of the Crowley Police Department where he served many years.
Visitation was held Saturday, January 1, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. then Sunday from 8 a.m. until the time of service. Burial was in the Acadia Resthaven Cemetery in Crowley under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Crowley. Please send personal condolences to www.duhonfuneralhome.com.
