Charles Hebert, Sr.

CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Charles Albert “Slim” Hebert, Sr., 64, who died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at University Medical Center in Lafayette.

Rev. Don Popp will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery.

Mr. Hebert was a native of Forked Island and a resident of Crowley most of his life. He owned and operated Slim and Son Tire Repair.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Laviolette and her husband Barry of Crowley, Connie Crochet and her husband Chandler of Gueydan and Tammy Hebert of Crowley; one son, Charles Hebert, Jr. and his wife Rose of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Lea Hebert, Phillip and Kylie Crochet, Mikal Hebert, Jaedon Ceasar, Michael and Christine Lu; two step great-grandchildren.
