The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Amy Whatley of Rayne. Her grandparents are Wayne and Joycelyn Young of Farmerville and Don and Pudge Whatley of Franklin. She is a 2003 graduate of Rayne High School and plans to work with hearing-impaired children upon graduating from UL-Lafayette in 2009. She is also a certified dental assistant.

The groom is the son of Murrell and June Hoffpauir of Church Point. His grandparents are the late Hillman and Lynell Turner of Richard, and the late Murrell and Lucille Hoffpauir of Crowley. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a halter-style wedding dress of white bridal satin featuring an A-lined style noted at the bodice with a gathered wrap-style bodice. A tiara-style headpiece held a cathedral-length veil of sheer illusion, while she carried a nosegay bouquet of Malibu and rosina roses framed with lemon leaves and gathered with white tulle ribbon.

Attending her best friend as matron of honor was Kristina Friedman. Bridesmaids were Katy Newsom, Lydia Burkhalter and Katie Funderburk, friends, and Amy Turner, cousin of the groom.

Serving as flower girl was Shelby Campo. She was escorted by the bride’s brother, Evan Whatley, ring bearer.

Attending the groom as best man was a friend, Coby Leger. Groomsmen were Nathan Turner and Travis Turner, cousins of the groom, and Cody Hoffpauir and Quintin Hoffpauir, brothers of the groom.

Ushering guests to their designated areas were Phillip Whatley and Carson Whatley, brothers of the bride, and David Turner, cousin of the groom.

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held for the newlyweds at Union Hall in Rayne. Caterer for the event was Terri Myers, the bride’s aunt.
