CHS announces 2012 Homecoming Court

CROWLEY – Crowley High School will celebrate Homecoming 2012 with the theme “Choot ‘Em Gents.”

The Crowley High students will celebrate the week with class spirit competitions and dress-up days. The Homecoming Parade will be held in downtown Crowley at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 13. The parade will feature members of the Homecoming Court, the football sweetheart, the CHS football team, a variety of club and class parade entries and the CHS marching band.

The Homecoming Pep Rally will be held Friday, September 14 in the Boys’ Gym at 1:45 p.m. The football game will also be held Friday as the Crowley High Gents take on Washington Marion High School beginning at 7 p.m. at Gardiner Memorial Stadium. During halftime, the football sweetheart will be presented and the newly selected Homecoming Queen for 2012 will be announced.

The members of the 2012 Homecoming Court are as follows:

Logan Jade Boudreaux is the daughter of Cindy and Troy Boudreaux. She has been on the cheerleading squad for four years and is currently serving as co-captain. She was named an All-American cheerleader in her junior year. Logan has been a member of Student Council for four years and is currently a member of the Art Club and Drama Club. She attended the Louisiana Youth Seminar at LSU this past summer. Logan has a 3.6 grade point average and received the Hardest Working Student and Honor Roll awards numerous times. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana where she will major in psychology with a minor in business.

Olivia Nicole Boullion is the daughter of Janet and Glenn Boullion. She has been a member of the softball team for four years, track team for three years and cross country team for two years. During her sophomore year, Olivia was named MVP for softball and Hardest Worker for track. She was also selected MVP for softball and cross country during her junior year. She was named to the All-District softball team during her sophomore and junior years. Olivia has been involved with Student Council for four years and is currently serving as treasurer. She was also a member of the yearbook staff during her sophomore year. Olivia has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout high school and was named Hardest Working student several times. She plans to pursue a degree in the medical field.

Kaleigh Elise Credeur is the daughter of Tara and Randall Credeur. She has been on the cheerleading squad for four years, named All-American cheerleader and received the Most Dedicated Cheerleader award during her junior year. Kaleigh had been a member of Student Council for three years and is currently participating in the Peer Tutoring program. She maintains a 3.5 grade point average and has received the Hardest Working Student Award and the Academic Achievement Certificate numerous times. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in criminal justice with a minor in performing arts.

Megan Angelle Guidry is the daughter of Amanda Brown and Larry Guidry. She has been a member of the softball and cross country teams for four years. She was selected second team All-District catcher during her sophomore and junior years. She was also given the Greatest Comeback Award in her sophomore year. Megan was also a member of the volleyball and powerlifting teams during her freshman year. She was a regional champ in powerlifting that year. She has lettered in all of these sports. Megan has been a member of Student Council for three years and volunteered for Witchy Way during her freshman and sophomore years. She maintains a 3.7 grade point average and received numerous Honor Roll awards. Megan plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in kinesiology.

Brooklyn Paige Hebert is the daughter of Antoinette and James Jones. She has been a football manager for tow years. Brooklyn maintains a 2.9 grade point average and has received the Hardest Working Student Award numerous times. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana and major in physical therapy.

Mar’Lexus Charnye Hubbard is the daughter of Marie Patton. She has been a member of the color guard for two years and is currently serving as co-captain. Mar’Lexus has been a member of Student Council for four years. She maintains a 3.1 grade point average. She plans to serve in the United States Air Force as a computer technician and later become a social worker.

Brittany Marie Hulin is the daughter of Janice and Ricky Hulin. She has been on the cheerleading squad for four years where she served as co-captain during her junior year and is currently serving as captain. Brittany was named All-American Cheerleader in both 2011 and 2012. She has been a member of Student Council for two years, National Honor Society for two years, newspaper staff, Drama Club and Art Club for one year. Brittany has a 3.9 grade point average and has received the Hardest Working Student, Honor Roll and Principal’s List awards numerous times. During her sophomore year, she received the National Social Studies Award form the United States Achievement Academy. Brittany was the 2011 Teen Miss Acadia Parish. She plans to start her studies at Louisiana State University at Eunice with a major in business.

Sandra Marie Malveaux is the daughter of SydDanna Dugar-Malveaux and Terrence Lloyd. Sandra maintains a 3.0 grade point average. She has been a member of the cheerleading squad for two years, received the Most Spirited Cheerleader Award and was named All-American cheerleader during her junior year. Sandra has also been a member of Student Council for three years, Art Club for one year and served on the Prom Committee during her junior year. She attended Louisians Girls’ State at Northwestern State University, where she represented Seventh District as a 2012 delegate. Sandra plans to attend McNeese State University and major in applied biology with a concentration in forensic science.

Ji Monay Pete is the daughter of Debra Washington and Kevin Pete. She has been a member of the color guard for two years, Student Council for four years and Science Club for one year. Ji has a 3.7 grade point average and has received multiple academic and Honor Roll awards. She plans to attend the University of Louisiana and major in business.

Heather Elise Trahan is the daughter of Elizabet and Sid Trahan. She has been a member of the softball team for four years, receiving second team All-District during her sophomore year and first team All-District and All-Parish during her junior year. Heather also received the Offensive Player of the Year Award in her sophomore and junior years. She is currently a pole vaulter on the track team where she has been a member for three years. She was a member of the state runner-up girls powerlifting team during her freshman year. Heather ran cross country during her freshman and sophomore years and was also a cheerleader in her freshman year. She has been a member of Student Council for three years. She maintains a 3.7 grade point average and has received the Hardest Working Student and Honor Roll awards numerous times. Heather plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in chemical engineering.

The Crowley High School football team has chosen Taylor D’Nais Harmon as the 2012 Football Sweetheart. She is the daughter of Kayla and James Harmon. Taylor was a member of FCCLA for one year, Student Council for two years and has been a football manager for three years. She has a 3.1 grade point average and has the Hardest Working Student Award several times. Taylor plans to join the Air Force and become a neonatal nurse.

The week concludes with the Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the Crowley High School Student Council. The dance will be Saturday, September 15 from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. in the Crowley High School Commons Area.
