Scriptures were read by Marcie LeJeune, godmother of the bride, and Jamie Boutin, godmother of the groom.

Presenting gifts during the ceremony were Al Castile, uncle of the bride, and Michelle Broussard, aunt of the groom.

For her wedding day, the bride entered the chapel on the arm of her father wearing a strapless, A-line gown of ivory taffeta featuring a sweetheart neckline adorned with a pleated overlay covering down to the empire waist. The overlay was accented with a beautiful embroidered and beaded lace design. Completing the exquisite creation was a semi-cathedral length train with gathered lace accents. Placed in her hair was a pearl tiara. She carried a bouquet of sahara, vendella and red-sox calla lilies with ivory hued ribbon accented with ivory beading.

In keeping with tradition the bride carried her grandparents wedding bands nestled within her bridal bouquet as something old, her dress was worn as something new, she carried a “Medal of Mary” which was received from her mother as something borrowed, and her garter was something blue.

Serving her sister as maid of honor was Emily Fontenot. Bridal attendants were Kristi Castille, cousin of the bride; Rhonda Alleman, Delanie Soileau and Casey Johnson, friends of the couple. They each carried a bouquet of green hydragea, terra cotta roses and ivory ribbon.

Best man to the groom was his brother, Dustin Babineaux. Groomsmen were Eric LeJeune, cousin of the bride; Scott Simon, Gerald Robin and Brent Broussard, friends of the couple.

As the guests arrived they were escorted to their seats by the ushers, Jeff Fontenot, brother of the bride; Grant Credeur, friend of the couple; Casey Thrasher, cousin of the groom; and Jacob Castile, cousin of the bride.

Kennedi Royston, friend of the bride, served as flower girl, and Cameron Babineaux, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

Immediately following the wedding, the newlyweds were honored with a reception held at the Carencro Community Center.

Among the many refreshments served was the bridal cake, a three-tiered square confection featuring a Mexican theme with white chocolate and copper-toned ribbon.

The groom’s cake was a rectangle butter pecan delicacy with a camping theme.

Upon returning from a honeymoon cruise the couple, will reside in Branch.

One day prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held in Mire.
