Church Point students go on beating rampage

CHURCH POINT – With our nation’s schools becoming an increasing concern due to the recent shooting that have happened on campuses around the nation, what happened at Church Point High School Tuesday involved no weapons but was shocking none the less.

On Tuesday, three suspended Church Point High School students got into the school through a side door during school hours. According to police, they then proceeded into the classroom where Shannon Granger and Nicholas Kidder sat. That’s when other students in the classroom say that they went on a beating rampage.

The three suspects, ages 14, 16, and 17, had been expelled from the school.

Many parents and students say that their biggest concern is that the school has several side doors that are unlocked, which means that anyone can have access to the campus without being noticed. The campus also has no resource officer.

The two juvenile suspects have been released to their parents. The 17-year-old remains in jail.
