Claudia Estilette Colligan
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Claudia Estilette Colligan, 97, who died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at her residence in Rayne.
Survivors include her daughter, Clara C. Haure of Rayne; her grandchildren, Evans and Glen Thibodeaux of New Orleans, Mona and Duane Bullock of Rayne, Kaye and Tommy Hillard of Crowley, and Ros Franklin of Rayne; her grandson-in-law, Jimmy Dubose of Crowley; 10 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great- grandchild; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Colligan; son-in-law, Peter “Jr.” Haure; granddaughter, Pam Dubose; and her 14 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Claudia and her husband owned and operated a Mobile gas station for many years in Church Point, before moving to Rayne. Around the service station Mrs. Colligan was well known for changing oil as well as tires, she worked alongside her husband from sunup to sundown.
She was also known for her homemade banana cake as well as upside-down pineapple cakes. She had a special love for her dog, Tobi, and her cat, Penny.
Mrs. Claudia was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a friend to everybody.

Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
