Community Action Agency accepting utility applications for a short time

The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. will be taking applications for residents with a current utility disconnect notice only.

Only one appointment will be made per phone call, and applications will not be taken without an appointment. No walk-in appointments will be accepted. Organizers have asked residents not to call and tie up the phone lines if they do not have a current disconnect notice. Residents who received assistance from June to December are not eligible.

All applicants are required to provide current proof of income of all household members for October or November 2008, along with names, along with the last four consecutive check stubs for working applicants, one energy bill received this year, pictured ID of the head of household and date of birth and social security numbers for all household members.
