Complete Garden Center offers full line of nursery services

Great news for home gardeners and plant lovers in Rayne and all of Acadia Parish! After working together for the past few years, two well respected local businesses have taken a local plant nursery in a new and exciting direction!

As of March 1, 2009, Stagg's Nursery has closed its doors, and the business has re-opened as Complete Garden Center.

“I opened our family business in 2007 because I truly love the nursery business and I wanted to offer our downtown Rayne business district a quality hometown nursery. I have enjoyed being a part of the revitalization of our downtown area. However, as time has passed, I realized that Rayne needs a complete garden center,” says Katherine Stagg, owner of Stagg’s Nursery.

That is where Nick Simoneaux comes in. Nick and his family are the owners of Complete Garden Center which has opened at 106 East Harrop St. in Rayne, the same location as Stagg’s Nursery which is across the street from the Bank of Commerce.

Nick has been a licensed landscaper for over six years, serving all of Acadiana. He was named “Young Business Professional of the Year” by the Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association for 2008. He also served as president of the Louisiana Turfgrass Association for 2007-2008.

Complete Garden Center will continue to offer high quality Louisiana grown plants for all your gardening needs. The center will stock trees, shrubs, annual bedding plants as well as vegetable plants and seasonal items. It will also carry mulch, potting soil, and other gardening accessories.

Nick says, “Having lived in Rayne all of my life, I look forward to serving all of the plant and garden needs of the people in Acadia Parish. After working with Stagg’s Nursery for the past two years, taking over the nursery was a logical next step in the growth of my business.”

Complete Garden Center and Complete Lawn Care, also offer full landscaping services, including lawn maintenance, landscape installation, bed maintenance, fire ant control, etc.

Connie Smith, manager of Complete Garden Center, invites everyone to come by for all their gardening needs.

The Center will hold a grand opening on May 2, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.
