Couple plans June wedding
Tom and Rhonda Broussard of Rayne are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Broussard, to Jordan Christopher Woods, son of Karen Trenticosta Woods and Chris Woods, both of New Orleans.
The engaged couple will be married on Saturday, June 2, 2012, during a three o’clock afternoon ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, followed by a reception at The Riverview Room at Jackson Brewery.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Melba Olinger of Rayne, the late Hilary Olinger, Sr., and the late Numa Bertel and Elaine Broussard. She is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, 2010 graduate in textiles, apparel and merchandising from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and is employed by Dantin Bruce Real Estate Development Company in Baton Rouge. She is also a Pi Beta Phi Sorority alumni.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Helen Trentocosta of New Orleans, the late Anthony Trentocosta, Jr., and the late Herschel and Gertrude Woods. He is a 2005 graduate of Brother Martin High School, 2010 graduate in of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in petroleum engineering, and is employed by Precision Drilling.
Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Baton Rouge.
