Crowley Christian Care September news
CROWLEY - Crowley Christian Care Center (CCCC) thrift store has been busy with the start-up of the school year.
The store is open the first Saturday of each month and every Friday except the Friday before the first Saturday.
The merchandise offered in the thrift store includes good quality used clothing, shoes and household items both small and large.
Clothing is color-coded and is cycled out of the store every three months.
A special 50-cent-per-item sale is held on the Friday after the first Saturday on items being cycled out.
Shopping at the CCCC thrift store helps the local community, with proceeds going directly back to the CCCC to assist clients with utility, medical and food bills.
There is no overhead expense because the store is manned by hard-working volunteers.
With fall comes harvest time, along with its special mood of celebrations and festivals.
Holding a special harvest collection of non-perishable goods at your church, school or place of business would help greatly to fill the CCCC pantry’s shelves.
The pantry shelves are always in need of filling as approximately 600 bags of groceries are delivered by the CCCC every month.
CCCC is located on the corner of W. 7th St. and Western Ave., at 726 W. 7th St. For more information, call 783-5811.
