Crowley High School Class of 1968 celebrates 45 years
The Crowley High School graduating class of 1968 recently held its 45th class reunion, participating in a variety of activities in a day-long celebration on Saturday, Oct. 19.
With the reunion being held on the Saturday of Rice Festival, the classmates first joined together to roll a float in the Grand Parade, with Cheryl and Dwayne Petry loaning them their truck, trailer and bleachers.
That evening, members of the class gathered for dinner at Chef Roy’s restaurant in Rayne. Everyone enjoyed the meal filled with spirited fellowship and reminiscing. Dena and Michael Venable presented a special memorial in memory of deceased classmates.
Following dinner, the group adjourned to the home of Darlene and Glenn Hebert for dessert and further revelry.
The class would like to thank everyone on the reunion and decorating committees for all their hard work. It would also like to thank Michael Venable and his band, Dena Venable, Kenneth Venable, Syd Begnaud and Tommy McCullough.
