Crowley man physically assaulted estranged wife and son
Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that his office received a call shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon concerning a fight at the Pontoon Bridge on Hwy 91.
Upon arrival at the scene and after a brief investigation, deputies learned that Monty Deville, age 30, of Finmar Drive, Crowley had physically assaulted his estranged wife and 4 year old son. Deputies also advised that during the altercation, Deville rammed his vehicle into the vehicle she and her son were occupying in an attempted to push the vehicle into Bayou Plaquemine.
The 28 year old victim and her 4 year old son were transported to American Legion Hospital where they were treated and released.
Deville was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail where he was charged with Attempted First Degree Murder of his 4 year old son; Attempted Second Degree Murder of his estranged wife and two counts of domestic battery with a child endangerment. District Judge Kristian Earles set bond on Deville at $475,000.
Louisiana State Police charged Deville with OWI.
